As a small business owner who recognizes the value of strong marketing, its difficult to find the time to execute on a vision or ideas you have. And if you don’t have experience in marketing strategy, often times the effort you put into marketing doesn’t have the desired outcome. And trying to execute piecemeal elements of marketing outside of a single focused strategy, the effect is clumsy and also lacks effectiveness. These are all reasons why I reached out to Richard at TheDepartment. Despite thinking that I already knew what I wanted... Richard's process opened my eyes to many elements and factors I hadn’t realized were crucial in developing a brand identity. We took several steps back to really look at who we are as a business and how we wanted our customers to see us. I’ll be honest, there were times when I was anxious and wanted to rush the process… but Richard’s patience and insistence on taking the right steps towards really discovering what was the best path paid huge dividends in the end result. We didn’t always agree on choices and decisions, but its these disagreements that ultimately led to some of the biggest successes of the process of working together. In the end Richard came up with some amazing work for us, and I couldn’t recommend him more. I will continue to use the department for all of our marketing communication/pieces in the future.
